Supplier Environmental Management and Impact Reduction
FPI integrates Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria into supplier selection, assessment, monitoring, and development to manage environmental risks across the supply chain. New suppliers are required to complete an ESG self-assessment before being included in the Approved Vendor List, while existing suppliers are monitored through monthly performance evaluations, annual self-assessment questionnaires, and on-site audits for strategic or high-risk suppliers, particularly Critical Tier 1 Suppliers.
The Company encourages suppliers to report and disclose environmental performance through ESG self-assessments, questionnaires, performance evaluations, and physical inspection audits. Environmental issues monitored include Certifications, Quality Control, Emergency Orders, Warehouse Control, Warranty, Design & Innovation, Risk Management, Environmental Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Energy Conservation, Anti-Corruption, Human Rights & Fair Labor, and Business Credibility.
In 2025, 100% of suppliers completed the sustainability self-assessment, while 7% of supplier facilities underwent on-site sustainability audits, with a long-term target to increase audit coverage to at least 10% by 2030.
FPI also supports suppliers in reducing environmental impacts through sustainability training, technical guidance, corrective action plans, and supplier development, with a focus on resource efficiency, waste reduction, energy management, greenhouse gas reduction, and transition toward a low-carbon value chain. FPI also supports key suppliers in upgrading to Green Industry Standard Level 2 or above and collaborates on products using circular materials and agricultural waste.
Environmental Initiatives and Collaboration
In 2025, FPI participated in the academic conference “Achieving Sustainable Growth through Innovations in Responsible Production and Consumption Practices,” organized through collaboration among the Thai SCP Network, Pollution Control Department (PCD), and Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO). The initiative supports responsible production and consumption, the transition toward a circular economy, and progress toward SDG 12.
Industry Membership
FPI is a member of the Sustainable Consumption and Production Promotion Association (Thailand) and participated in the Association’s Annual General Meeting in 2025, which included action plans to advance SDG 12 and responsible production and consumption.
